Andrew McGovern is a senior majoring in Molecular Biology and minoring in Chemistry and Film. He has been in Breakthrough for one year and likes being able to support underrepresented students who don’t necessarily have the privileges and resources that he had throughout his high school experience. Andrew became so much more aware of the depth of education inequality after getting to college, so he wanted to be a part of an organization that would allow him to help narrow that inequality!

Ella Gundrum is a first-year student majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Studio Arts & Creative Writing. She joined Breakthrough Fall 2023 and loves being able to share knowledge and study tips with others. She especially enjoys seeing results in real time and seeing others improve. She joined Breakthrough to express her genuine interest in helping people succeed. Ella also serves as a student leader, and she's really happy to be a part of an organization that allows her to play a role in other's success!
Elysia Fabian

Elysia Fabian is a sophomore on the pre-law track majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Spanish and Law, Criminal Justice, and Society. She has been in Breakthrough since fall 2022 and loves how Breakthrough gives her a hands-on opportunity to impact her community through volunteer work. Elysia joined Breakthrough out of a passion for tutoring and can’t wait to see where this year takes her as a member of the board!
